Murphy's Law

Sun Nov 8, 2009, 10:05 AM
So I break out my Wacom graphic tablet for the first time in about TEN MONTHS and it acts all cracked out on me. I actually wanted to make a doll, or work on that Allucia/Akuji digital painting in my scraps. I had all the settings set to default.

So I'm going to try and reinstall everything. I don't think I've used it since before my old laptop got stolen, though I had installed the software on my current laptop.

Sigh.

Oh, and still pregnant. My due date's tomorrow and I'm not even having regular contractions or anything.

First babies are notoriously late ;)

And, heck, I was two weeks late with Ethan (Madi's doesn't count, courtesy of pre-E, ;))

That sucks. I haven't used mine in a while, just no real time with Walter.

I have so many baby items for you, but since my car is a FORD it ate the $$ up I saved to send it. But mom said she would help me so it can get to you at least before he gets too big once he decides to come out. XD

I am saving most of the things little man grows out of for your little man, so when there's a time we can meet somewhere halfway in say, Spring, you can go thru and get what you'd like.

Thanks hon. I have a box already for you but haven't had the money to mail it either.

The problem might be the 10 months you haven't used it... the drivers that run Windows have changed a bunch since then, and you probably need a new set of drivers for your tablet over from Wacom; not the ones that shipped with it.

I tried that too though, new as of the end of September, and I'm still having the same problem. I even found the problem I'm having in the troubleshooting section, and tried what they suggested, and I'm still having the same problem. Basically I just hover over the surface and it selects EVERYTHING or draws with no stopping if I'm in a graphics program.

Ouch. My only other suggestion, if you're on Vista, is to disable all of Vista's pen tablet PC settings so all that's left is the drivers from Wacom.

I'll try that, though the new drivers from Wacom haven't helped. I'll have to worry about it when I have time though, now I'm a little busy. :)

Oh yes, quite busy :)

Glad you have your priorities straight... feel free to bug me when life gives you enough time to try to work with the drivers; tech support from me is a lot cheaper than the Geek Squad :P
