Updated picture AND design.... The overall design hasn't changed. The original version used silver plated glass beads...well I can't get those anymore. I have switched to frosted translucent seed beads.
My friend *spirit-of-kina has Cystic Fibrosis, and was lucky enough to get a double lung transplant in October 2007.
I used to sell this for Nicole and give her 95% of the profit, only keeping enough for me to buy more supplies to make more. Unfortunately due to theft I no longer have this necklace or the supplies to make it. Until I have the funds to replace my supplies, this will not be for sale.
Young children often call Cystic Fibrosis "Sixty Five Roses" since it is sometimes hard to prounce. The awareness ribbon for CF is purple. Not counting the small silver spacer beads, this choker has 17 rose beads and 48 purple beads, which equals 65. Unfortunately it is not cost effective to make necklaces with sixty-five rose charms, so I thought I could incorporate some other symbolism.
These are strung on doubled up .018" jewelry wire and the purple beads are glass.
I did used to have extras but they were "lost" along with a most of the other jewelry pieces and supplies in my dA gallery during a move.
